BRAMPTON, Ont. - Relatives of those killed in a terrible air crash 43 years ago will be on hand today for the dedication of a memorial garden about 10 kilometres from Toronto's international airport.
Air Canada Flight 621 slammed into a farm field in what is now Brampton on July 5, 1970, killing all 109 passengers and crew.
Pilot error is blamed for the disaster.
Some of those linked to the tragedy have spent years pressing for a permanent memorial site.
A group of developers has now put the garden in place.
The memorial has 109 stones and plaques with the names of the victims.
